1. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Motionforge Edit collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal information when a person visits the website, submits a training request, purchases an educational product, attends an online lecture, accesses course materials, communicates with the business, or otherwise uses the services. It applies to information collected directly through the website and to information received through payment processors, course platforms, video-conferencing providers, customer-support tools, analytics providers, and other service providers used to operate the educational programs.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, distributors, software publishers, equipment manufacturers, or sales representatives that maintain their own privacy practices. When a participant follows a reference to a third party, the participant should review that third party's privacy notice before providing personal information.

2. Information We Collect

Information provided by participants

We may collect a participant's name, email address, telephone number, billing address, country or region, company or team name, professional role, experience level, training interests, equipment and software information, project requirements, questions submitted before or during a session, files voluntarily provided for review, support messages, and other information included in a form or communication.

Transaction and access information

We may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, purchase amount, product selected, refund status, access dates, account status, course progress, download activity, session attendance, and related records. Full payment-card numbers are normally processed by the selected payment provider and are not stored by Motionforge Edit unless clearly stated at the point of collection.

Technical and usage information

When a person uses the website or course platform, technical information may be collected automatically, including IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, approximate region, language settings, referring page, pages viewed, interaction timestamps, error logs, cookie identifiers, and security events. This information is used to maintain the website, understand general usage, detect abuse, and improve accessibility and performance.

3. How We Use Personal Information

• To create and maintain participant accounts and deliver purchased lectures, courses, documentation, and digital resources.

We may use de-identified or aggregated information for internal analysis, provided that the information is not reasonably capable of identifying a participant.

4. Legal Bases and Consent

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, personal information may be processed because it is necessary to perform a contract, take steps requested before entering a contract, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate business and security interests, or act with the participant's consent. A person may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the applicable basis, although withdrawal does not affect processing that already occurred lawfully.

We may disclose personal information to service providers that perform functions on our behalf, such as website hosting, cloud storage, payment processing, accounting, email delivery, course hosting, video conferencing, scheduling, analytics, fraud prevention, customer support, and security. Providers are given information reasonably necessary for their assigned function and are expected to protect it under contractual or legal obligations.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, court process, government request, insurance requirements, or professional advice; to investigate suspected fraud or misuse; to protect the rights, safety, property, systems, or materials of Motionforge Edit, participants, or others; or in connection with a business reorganization, financing, merger, sale, or transfer of assets.

Motionforge Edit does not sell personal information for money. The business does not knowingly use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about participants. If future practices materially change, the Policy and any legally required choices will be updated before the new practice begins.

6. Authorized Distributors and Product Contacts

When a participant asks for product information, Motionforge Edit may provide contact details for an authorized distributor, manufacturer representative, or online sales specialist. We do not provide the participant's personal information to that representative unless the participant requests or authorizes the introduction, or the disclosure is otherwise explained at the time. The receiving organization acts under its own privacy practices and is responsible for its subsequent communications.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The website may use essential cookies for security, session management, preferences, and page functionality, as well as limited analytics technologies used to understand website performance. Browser settings may allow a user to block or delete cookies, but disabling essential technologies may prevent parts of the website or course platform from working correctly.

8. Data Retention

Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including course delivery, customer support, accounting, tax, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security, and enforcement of intellectual-property rights. Retention periods differ by category. Transaction records may be retained for legally required accounting periods. Support correspondence and access logs may be retained while needed to resolve issues or document compliance. Files submitted for instructional review may be deleted sooner when they are no longer needed.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards reasonably designed for the nature of the information handled. These may include access controls, authentication, provider due diligence, encrypted transmission where supported, backups, logging, and restricted internal access. No internet transmission, storage system, or security measure can guarantee absolute security. Participants are responsible for protecting their account credentials, using a secure device and connection, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.

10. Privacy Rights and Requests

Depending on residence and applicable law, a person may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, portability, restriction or objection to certain processing, or withdrawal of consent. Colorado residents may also have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, and opting out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or profiling activities where the relevant legal thresholds and definitions apply. Motionforge Edit does not currently sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising as those terms are commonly defined.

Requests may be submitted using the contact information at the end of this Policy. We may need to verify the requester's identity and authority before acting. Authorized agents may be required to provide proof of authorization. If a request is denied, the response will explain the basis and any available appeal method required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against a person for exercising a legally protected privacy right.

11. International Use and Data Transfers

The services are operated from the United States. A participant using the services from another country understands that information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and in other locations where service providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection rules different from the rules in the participant's country. Where required, appropriate transfer mechanisms or contractual protections may be used.

12. Children and Minors

The services are designed primarily for adults and professional learners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. A participant under the age of legal majority must use the services only with the involvement and authorization of a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that information was collected from a child in a manner not permitted by law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Policy to reflect changes in the services, technology, providers, legal requirements, or business practices. The revision date will be changed when an update is published. Material changes may also be communicated through the website, course platform, or direct notice when appropriate. Continued use after the effective date of a revised Policy is subject to the revised terms, except where additional consent is legally required.
